Indian-origin NASA astronaut Anil Menon begins first space mission aboard Soyuz MS-29 to ISS

NASA astronaut Anil Menon launched aboard the Roscosmos Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on his first mission to the International Space Station (ISS). Menon, along with Roscosmos cosmonauts Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina, will spend around eight months aboard the orbiting laboratory as part of Expeditions 74 and 75. The crew will conduct scientific research and technology demonstrations focused on human space exploration, microgravity studies and future missions to the Moon and Mars.
