Killer Fog, Mass Madness & Pulp Horror | The Fog by James Herbert
James Herbert knows how to write a suspenseful horror story. He also adds an element of humour to it, but it never gets in the way of the creation of a great horror story. John Holman has to fight an elusive enemy; the fog, which makes everybody insane. GarbAugust is a reading event dedicated to pulp fiction and trashy non-fiction. There are prompts, but they are definitely not a must. You can also just read one trashy (story just written for entertainment) story (novel or short story). You can also watch a trashy film if you prefer. Weeks prompts: Week 1 - 1st to 10th: Anything Goes Week 2 - 11th to 17th: Shock Value (anything that sells itself based on salacious or violent content) Week 3 - 18th to 24th: Cosy Trash (romance, cat mysteries, that kind of thing) Week 4 - 25th to 31st: Apocalyptic Trash (disaster, end of the world, post apocalyptic) Garbingo board: Celeb memoir (especially if by someone who isn't famous anymore) Non-fiction trash Not a book Local trash Killer animals Non-killer animals Sequel no one asked for MG trash YA trash Category romance Men's adventure Bonkbuster Novel by a celebrity Author smoking or drinking Pax - green on the cover Alice - cosy cat mystery Paperback from hell Novelisation/tie in You wouldn't read it on the bus Pseudonym Topical trash Host recommendation Modern trash (2000+) Vintage trash (Pre-2000) Group read The host of hosts CriminOlly - Screaming, Creaming Olly @CriminOllyBlog Alex Unabridged - Al Licks Under a Bridge @alex_unabridged Ann Novella - Ann Poubella @AnnNovella Another Bibliophile Reads - Another Boobiephile Reads Playboy for the Articles @anotherbibliophilereads Another BookTube Channel - Another Buttplug Canal @anotherbooktubechannel Book Blather - Boob Lather @BookBlather Books Songs and Other Magic - Boobs, Dongs and Other Magic @bookssongsandothermagic Cafe Cryptic - Bookbound Dildo @cafecryptic Fiberartsy - Fibertarty @fiberartsyreads Katrina Brown - Kaboner Grown @katrinabrown Genre Books - Genres Gone Wild @GenreBooks23 Kelly Hooked on Books - Kelly Hooked on Dino Smut @kellyhookedonbooks4394 Michael K Vaughan - Michael K Porn @michaelk.vaughan8617 Michelle's Melancholia - Michelle's Melons Cholia @michellesmelancholia Obscure Book Adventures - Obscene Boob Adventures @ObscureBookAdventures Randy Ray The Literate Texan - The Degenerate Texan @LiterateTexan Raynor Reads Stuff- Raynor Wants it Rough @RaynorReadsStuff Reading This Life - Sleazing This Life @M-J Regina's Haunted Library - Rottena St Claire @ReginasHauntedLibrary Roys Reads Anything - Roys Reads Anything (wink) @royreadsanything Shelly Swearingen - Shall We Swing Again @Shellyish Slime and Slashers - Slimey Splashers @MyNostalgicLife The Bookish Knitter - The Bondage Knitter @readingcategoryromance The Bookubus- The Boob Anus @TheBookubus
