This kit was assembled by students at a technical institute in the province of Terni. I analyzed the schematic and, to verify it, used a DDS generator, also from Nuova Elettronica, and two amplifier stages to drive this linear amplifier with adequate power. In fact, the 50W output will only be possible with a 4-5W input drive, given that the 2N5643 transistor used has a gain of about 7 dB. For the measurements, I use a Rohde & Schwarz NAUS4 power meter with a Radio System anti-inductive load.
