Redemptor Mundi Catholic Church Diocese of Surabaya Gospel Reading Matthew 11:2-11 Once when John the Baptist heard in prison about the works of Christ, he sent his disciples to ask Jesus, “Are you the one who is to come, or should we look for another?” Jesus answered them, “Go and tell John what you hear and see: The blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have good news preached to them. Blessed is he who does not doubt or deny me.” After John's disciples left, Jesus began to speak to the crowd about John, "Why did you go into the wilderness? See the bamboo swayed by the wind? Or what are you going for? See people in fine clothes? The fine-dressed person belongs in the king's palace. So what are you going for? See the prophet? True, and I say unto you, even more than the prophet. Because it is written about him: Look, I sent my messenger before you! he will prepare the way before you. I say to you: Look at it, among those born of women never appeared a greater man from John the Baptist. Nevertheless, the least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than John." Such is the word of God
