NatMEG lecture: Cortico-kinematics by Mathieu Bourguignon
Title: Insights into sensorimotor brain functions from magnetoencephalography (MEG) and coherence analysis In February 2014, NatMEG was visited by Mathieu Bourguignon who had recently defended his doctoral thesis on corticokinematic coherence (coherence between hand kinematics and MEG cortical activity during fast repetitive hand movements). In his work, Mathieu explored how continuous movements are represented in the brain using coherence analysis on MEG and accelerometer recordings. His work has thereby set the basis of a new line of neuroscientific research, "neurokinematics".
