The landscape of civil construction has been changing over the years, and this is due to the industrialization of production processes that generally occurred in the post-industrial revolution scenario. Although the speed of development in civil construction was slower due to the manual nature of several services, after the Second World War, with the widespread use of prefabricated elements, the sector began to evolve more rapidly. The use of prefabricated elements allows for the industrial-scale manufacturing of structural components and enables greater speed, as the elements arrive at the construction site ready for assembly. However, one of the main drawbacks of this technique is the need for connections, because since the structure is not monolithic, it will require connections to ensure static stability and transfer forces. The connections are made using reinforced concrete corbels.
