Construct an image from a projector’s point of view (and more tricks with light transport)
I measured the light transport between a camera and projector, which enables synthetic lighting of the scene and image reconstruction from new perspectives. The second part of the video is on range finding using structured illumination. The results are based on the Dual Photography paper and a lecture from Dr. Shree Nayar's computer vision series. 0:00 Intro 1:46 Binary encoded structured light 3:30 Collecting light transport data 4:51 Synthetic illumination 5:47 Photos from the projector's perspective 7:56 Image generation using AI 8:53 Range finding with light planes 11:20 Depth mapping results 13:24 Other 3D scanning methods 14:30 Oko optics news Patreon link: / okooptics Cover design: Ena Selimović https://www.turkoslavia.com/design-po...
