Athletics Clubs in São Paulo, Brazil 🇧🇷

In the US, we’re currently obsessed with "wellness." We spend thousands on boutique cold-plunge memberships and infrared saunas just to find a sense of community. But in São Paulo, we found a "Third Space" that makes American country clubs look like relics. Esporte Clube Pinheiros is Latin America’s largest athletic club, but calling it a "gym" or a "country club" doesn't do it justice. It’s a literal mini-city for 40,000 members. Full-Scale Urban Amenities: On-site restaurants, cafes, a movie theater, a museum, and even a daycare and kindergarten. Intergenerational Life: A place where members of all ages actually spend their day, not just an hour on a treadmill. Yes, it’s a place of immense privilege - much like the exclusive clubs in the US. But the difference is the utility. Why has the US, with its multi-billion dollar wellness industry, failed to build a social ecosystem this complete?
