19 Napi Narkoba Asal Lampung dipindahkan ke Nusakambangan

LAMPUNG, KOMPAS.TV, the Corrections Division of the Lampung Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kanwil Kemenkumham) transferred 19 inmates known to be drug dealers and controllers to the super-maximum security facility on Nusakambangan Island. The inmates, part of a large network from Aceh, Palembang, and several other regions, were transferred to Nusakambangan on Wednesday evening (August 4th) at 9:00 PM. The transfer involved several units from the Lampung Regional Police and the Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob) for escort, using a Lampung Regional Police bus. The 19 inmates were transferred by the Lampung Regional Office of Kemenkumham in conjunction with the Corrections Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the Lampung Regional Office of Kemenkumham in a short and confidential manner, adhering to COVID-19 health protocols. When met, Farid Junaedi, Head of the Corrections Division (Kadivpas) of the Lampung Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, stated that the transfer of the 19 drug convicts was aimed at disrupting the network and assessing the overcrowding in Lampung's prisons. "This process was quick because it was confidential. They were transferred there because there was a potential for them to engage in further activity," Farid said. Previously, these convicts were housed in several detention centers in Lampung, including Rajabasa Prison, Way Huwi Detention Center, Narcotics Prison, Class II B Gunung Sugih Prison, Class II A Kalianda Prison, and Class II B Menggala Detention Center. #drugconvicts #nusakambangan #lampung
