This is a budget-friendly lard recipe that's suitable for both the oven and the barbecue. The cheek turns out soft, juicy, with a crispy crust and an amazing aroma of spices. 📌 What you need: Pork cheek (lard with meat) - 700-800 g Paprika - 1 tbsp. Spoon Ground black pepper - 0.5 teaspoon Chili - 0.5 teaspoon Dried tomatoes with basil - 1 heaping teaspoon Dried garlic - 1 teaspoon Salt - 1 teaspoon Soy sauce - 2-3 tablespoons (until the sauce thickens) 6% vinegar - 2 tablespoons 👨‍🍳 How to cook: 1️⃣ Wash the cheek, making deep cuts (to the skin, but not all the way through). 2️⃣ Mix the spices, garlic, soy sauce, and vinegar until a thick marinade is formed. 3️⃣ Rub the mixture thoroughly into the cheek, ensuring the marinade reaches all the cuts. 4️⃣ Wrap in paper, then in foil, and bake at 180°C for 1 hour, skin side down. 5️⃣ Then unwrap and caramelize over coals or under the grill, basting with the juices. 🔥 The result: incredibly delicious salo-meat, melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness, with a smoky aroma!
