Yamaha introduced the YZ250FX in 2015, taking proven elements from it's motocross brother in the YZ250F but adapting them to make a bike suited more for cross country and GNCC style racing. In 2020 the YZ250FX received it's first complete update with improved internal engine components, better ECU mapping adjustability, along with a revised chassis. The bike felt great from the factory and instantly made TJ comfortable, but some changes were in order to better adapt this bike to fit his riding preference and style.
