Neues Spur N Projekt: Modelleisenbahn-Anlage Großstadt von Konzept-Bahnen - es geht los!

This project involves building an N-gauge model railway layout with dimensions (L/W/H) of approximately 400 x 117 / 140 x 30 cm. The layout is being built using the "Metropolis" kit from Konzept-Bahnen. The material is 6 mm beech plywood. The kit consists of four modules. Each module is self-supporting, meaning that four legs are sufficient for each module. However, I decided to build a frame with 10 legs on casters as the base for the kit. The track in the hidden section consists of Fleischmann track without roadbed (formerly Roco), and in the visible section, Peco Code 55 track. Control is provided by the Roco/Fleischmann Z21 control unit/system (black). For the sake of uniformity and to simplify the technology, all other components will also consist of Roco/Fleischmann Z21 modules (turnout decoders, occupancy detectors, reversing loop decoders). The layout concept is simple: two double-track main and light rail lines, respectively, which converge at a main station on the third level. Each double-track main line has a five-track hidden staging yard on the lowest level.
