Lovely, Dark, and Deep (The Greatwood) - Final Fantasy XVI (solo piano arrangement)

This might be my last XVI cover at least for a while, since I just finished Xenoblade 3 and started in on the Future Redeemed DLC, and I gotta get back to the Octopath 2 stuff, plus it's been a hot minute since I've done Castlevania and we've got a Netflix series debuting in Sept for which is am SOOOOO EXCITED FOR AAAHHHH and need to prep something for that momentous occasion lol so anyways...so many pans in the fire, as usual hahaha. There are several versions of this theme, but this is the first version you hear very early on, during the part of the game I enjoyed most, the first 30%....the good old days of a being an imperial deserter driven by grief and a desire for revenge lollll. Love a good forest theme so I started arranging this one while I was in this segment. The XVI arrangements are my personal foray into really getting into the weeds with Soken's style and I've noticed he tends to employ an extended tertiary form of his own in his compositions and I'm not sure how I feel about that overall buuuuuut anyways it is what it is and I did my best with it! It is unusually dramatic for a forest theme hahahaha but it's all good lol I guess. Over the past two or three years I've noticed I've amassed enough covers for an FF piano vol. 4 hooray so look out for that soon!! I just want to record ONE more arrangement for it and then it's good to go and I can get around to sheets for My Star and Price of Freedom and all that good stuff!!!
