Tonight I Am Making Orzo

TW/ Suicide "Tonight I Am Making Orzo" is an experimental poetry short film. This was a film that I made for myself and did not originally intend to release at all, but I think it brings with it a conversation that I often beg people to have more frequently. I began making this the night I cooked myself my first meal after a suicide attempt back in January. It’s a strange little experimental poetry-heavy thing that I clung to making as I went about trying to understand and mend and love my life again. Talking about suicide is fucking hard, but the isolation and loneliness and feeling totally singular is deadly. Community, friendship, love, asking for help, providing help, & just TALKING are all we have. This movie is very much a love letter to that fact. A love letter to people, even! To the people who saved my life, to people everywhere. People are all we’ve got! It is full of much hope. As is life. I hope you enjoy it. #shortfilm #poetry
