When we grieve for our families, when we cry for our cities, when we intercede for the nations and the next generation, God does not turn away from our tears. He is near to the brokenhearted. His mercy is still present. His light still rises after the night. This song is a prayer for those who carry sorrow, compassion, and intercession in their hearts — for the nation, for the people, for the wounded, and for the generations to come.
