113- Sistema de Nomenclatura R,S ( parte 1)- Usando fórmulas em perspectiva

For any enantiomer with an asymmetric carbon, one will have the R configuration and the other will have the S configuration. The R, S naming system follows these rules: Rank the groups (or atoms) bonded to the asymmetric carbon in order of priority. The atomic number of the atoms directly bonded to the asymmetric carbon determines the relative priorities. The higher the atomic number, the higher the priority. Orient the molecule so that the group (or atom) with the lowest priority is pointing away from you. Then draw an imaginary arrow from the group with the highest priority to the group with the next highest priority. If the arrow points clockwise, the asymmetric carbon has the R configuration (R comes from rectus, Latin for right). If the arrow points counterclockwise, the asymmetric carbon has the S configuration (S comes from sinister, Latin for left).
