Can't You See I'm Lonely

Originally written by Harry Armstrong and Felix Feist in around 1905, I discovered this song via Over the Garden Wall (more specifically, the pilot) as performed by The Blasting Company. The song seemed to only contain one verse, so I wrote two more. Ada Jones ,1905:    • Can't You See I'm Lonely?- Ada Jones- 1905   Over the Garden Wall Version:    • Over The Garden Wall Official Soundtrack |...   Can't you see I'm lonely? Lonely as can be For I want you only There's no one else for me And you know it Sometimes dear I wonder Why you keep away Leaving me so lonely Lonely night and day Sometimes dear I wander Wander on my own Only just to ponder Why you'd leave me alone I can't see it Why'd you warm my heart so Back when you were mine Just to leave me lonely Lonely rain or shine Why'd you warm my heart so Knowing that one day I'd be left to wallow And you'd be gone away Why'd you do it? Can't you see I'm lonely? Won't you hear my plea Don't you leave me lonely Lonely as can be
