Traces - The Aerospace Machine

TRACES — The Aerospace Machine Some experiences never fully leave us. “Traces” is a song about survival, recovery, and the marks left behind by the battles we carry through life. It’s about escaping destructive cycles, confronting who we’ve been, and learning how to move forward without forgetting the lessons that got us here. The title comes from the idea that every struggle leaves traces behind. Some are visible. Some aren’t. But they all become part of our story. “I may not know what’s next, but I know what’s left.” Traces [Verse 1] Trace the circles under my eyes Erase them before my next demise I must admit I’m a man who’s lifted The weight of the world’s last sickness [Chorus] Strip me down, keep me sedated Increase the drip, I know you don’t hate it Don’t need a witness Strip me down, keep me sedated Increase the drip, I know you don’t hate it Don’t need a witness I may not know what’s next But I know what’s left For this hollowed soul looking for an exit [Verse 2] Have I become jaded? It’s longer than anyone has waited Between forgiveness and goodbyes I’ve seen what I’m meant to sit with [Chorus] Strip me down, keep me sedated Increase the drip, I know you don’t hate it Don’t need a witness Strip me down, keep me sedated Increase the drip, I know you don’t hate it Don’t need a witness I may not know what’s next But I know what’s left For this hollowed soul looking for an exit [Bridge] Let’s go while we can Let’s go while we can Before the circles find us again And if we forget where we’ve been I’ll start over and trace it again [Breakdown] I may not know what’s next But I know what’s left For this hollowed soul looking for forgiveness [Final Chorus] Strip me down, keep me sedated Increase the drip, I know you don’t hate it Don’t need a witness Strip me down, keep me sedated Increase the drip, I know you don’t hate it Don’t need a witness I may not know what’s next But I know what’s left For this hollowed soul looking for an exit [Outro] I may not know what’s next But I know what’s left I know what’s left I know what’s left Written by Wes Cheers #AlternativeRock #PostGrunge #TheAerospaceMachine #Traces #OriginalMusic #RockMusic
