Over A 100 Mile Day BikePacking the Erie Canal Trail!

The first day of our bikepacking trip would take us from Rochester to Syracuse, New York mostly following the Erie Canalway which is part of the Empire State Trail. We met up with the trail in Pittsford after riding a few miles on the Auburn Trail. We also broke ofd the trail and went more direct through the Montezuma Wildlife Management Area. We stopped in Syracuse for dinner then continued out bike tour to our camping spot at Green Lakes State Park.
