A Flying Visit To WHITBY - This Place Is INSANE!

My autumn adventures continue as this week I explore another seaside town and this one is up there as being one of the most famous in the UK – today I am in Whitby on the North Yorkshire coast, just 18 miles away from my last outing in Scarborough.  This was my first time here, so I was winging it but was blown away by the whole area. In this 4K walking tour I’ll be taking you along the seafront and up to the exciting harbour as I explore all there is to see and do. If you’re looking for a traditional seaside resort with beautiful scenic walks, tourist attractions for all the family and great food and drink, this is the place to go this Autumn.   Walk with me along the West Cliff as I check out the amazing sandy beach as well as the entertainment Pavilion, before making my way to the famous Whalebone Arch where we get some amazing views across the harbour towards Whitby Abbey ruins.  Definitely one of the most iconic views in England.  We then head into the extremely busy harbour.  Of course I have to try out the local cuisine – after all Whitby is famous for its fish and chips.  There are so many things to do around here – the Dracula experience (Bram Stoker even stayed in Whitby in the 1800s!), the aquarium and a huge amount of pubs and independent shops.  I take a boat trip out into the choppy North Sea, where you can get insane views of the coast from a different perspective.  Afterwards we cross the bridge to the other side to check out the famous 199 steps of Whitby which lead up to St Marys Church and the abbey.  Sadly this was a flying visit and there wasn’t time to experience more but with Whitby you really are spoilt for choice in terms of things to see.    Perfect for a day trip, a short break or a holiday, come and see why Whitby is one of the best places to visit in the UK!      If you don’t know me already, I’m Jack and I’m exploring the UK, making travel vlogs of some of the best (and worst!) tourist destinations as I go. I’d be so grateful for your support, so please do like the video, leave a comment and subscribe to the channel!     #travelvlog #walkingtour #touristdestinations#placestogo #thingstodo #4Kwalkingtour #virtualwalk#daysout #whitby #seaside #holiday #uktravelblogger #dogfriendly #holiday #autumn
