Seymour Hersh: A Life in Investigative Journalism
From his reports on the massacre at My Lai, to his exposure of the horrors of Abu Ghraib, to his more recent attempts to get to the bottom of the circumstances of Osama Bin Laden’s death and the conflict in Syria, Seymour Hersh has over five decades made a reputation as one of the world’s most acclaimed investigative journalists. To launch the CIJ’s Summer Conference 2018, he came to London to talk about his life and work, the threats to investigative journalism and the future of the profession. Seymour Hersh, a long-time staff writer at The New Yorker, is the author of the new book Reporter: A Memoir. This discussion is part of our Logan CIJ Talks Series and took place at Goldsmiths, University of London, on 27 June 2018.
