In this video, we travel back over 30 years to Universal Studios Florida in its early glory days, captured entirely on original VHS footage from my very first trip to Orlando. This rare time capsule is packed with rides, shows, and park details you’ll never see again — perfect for anyone who loves theme park history or grew up visiting Universal in the ‘90s. 📼 What’s inside this nostalgic VHS tour: Kongfrontation – Ride through the streets of New York with King Kong himself, one of the park’s most epic and missed attractions. The Boneyard – See actual screen-used props from films like Jaws 2, Back to the Future, Gone With the Wind, and Edward Scissorhands. Production Tram Tour – A rare glimpse behind the scenes, including parts of the park guests couldn’t normally access. Ghostbusters Spooktacular – Relive this live-action special effects show before it closed in 1996. Beetlejuice’s Rock and Roll Graveyard Revue – Filmed on the temporary Animal Actors stage during renovations. Earthquake: The Big One – The original disaster movie-themed experience before it became Disaster!. Alfred Hitchcock: The Art of Making Movies – Including nods to The Birds and Psycho, with narration by Anthony Perkins. Nickelodeon Studios – At its peak, the largest production studio in Florida. Dynamite Nights Stunt Spectacular – The explosive Miami Vice-themed stunt show performed on the park lagoon. E.T. Adventure – One of the last surviving opening-day attractions, still beloved today. Fievel’s Playland – A giant playground straight from An American Tail and Fievel Goes West. The Original Hard Rock Café – Back when it was located inside the park. Special Appearances – Including Beverly Hills, 90210 cast members and street meet-and-greets with the Ghostbusters.
