Ter hoogte van de Ezel in het duinengebied van Hamont-Achel staat 'den Draad'. Of toch een stukje daarvan. Het gaat om een nieuwe reconstructie van de Doodendraad. Die werd opgericht door de Duitsers tijdens Wereldoorlog 1. En scheidde België van het niet bezette Nederland.
