Before the game, the Vikings were 13.5 point favorites, as they were led by a suffocating defensive line. Kansas City had a chance to avenge their loss in the first Super Bowl, and they did, shocking the football world once again. This was the final football game before the AFL-NFL merger, which permanently changed pro football forever. For the longest time, Super Bowl IV was only available on a canadian kinescope black and white copy. A year ago or so, the color broadcast resurfaced, adding an important piece to the Super Bowl catalog.
