We GOT LOST on the St Cuthbert's Way, Jedburgh to Morebattle

What do you get when two Wandering Hobbits set off on Day 2 of St Cuthbert's Way? An extra 4 miles... that's what! 😂 Today's adventure had everything: stunning Scottish Borders scenery, peaceful woodland trails, birds singing, rolling hills, bridges, history, and one rather impressive navigational mishap. After staying overnight in Jedburgh, we decided to walk back to Harestanes to rejoin the trail instead of taking a taxi. It sounded like a great plan... until we accidentally headed in completely the wrong direction! Thankfully, every wrong turn has a silver lining, and ours led us to the fascinating Jedburgh Castle Jail, a place we probably wouldn't have visited otherwise. Once we finally found the right route, we enjoyed beautiful countryside, quiet lanes, woodland walks, and some spectacular views before tackling the never-ending road walk into Morebattle. Trust us... after a full day on your feet, those last three miles of tarmac feel a lot longer than they actually are!
