The Recovery of English Cave
In March 2020, a team of St. Louis cave enthusiasts got a glimpse into the long-lost English Cave . . . and they didn't do it by finding an entrance. English Cave had been known since the earliest days of St. Louis's history and served many uses until the early 1900s. A cave of legend and folklore, it had been over 100 years since anyone was known to have caught a view inside the cave.
