Robotic Machine Tending Cell for Tube Boring

At Synapse we have designed a cell for loading and unloading Stainless Steel Tubular components to a twin spindle ACE LCXT 20 Machines. These tubular components are extensively used in submersible pumps. We have used a Fanuc M20id/25 kg payload robot with Schunk grippers on this project. The parts are fed by a simple gravity feed system with an escapement mechanism. The outfeed system is a simple belt conveyor. We ensure that there are no accidents in the CNC due to operator wrong part loading. Poka-Yoke is ensured by a laser distance measurement sensor that measures the length. We have customized cleaning stations for clearing the swirl swarf that gets generated during machining. We have delivered 7 robotic cells to the same customer. Our commitment to delivering cells with high OEE and minimal maintenance costs brings in assured repeat business and a long term partnership with our customer. On demand manual inspection stations are provided for random inspection. Fully automated auto gauging stations with auto offset correction can be incorporated into the system.
