While browsing the Marriott app, I discovered an unfamiliar hotel in the Ratchada area! I immediately went to stay there. It's actually the newly rebranded Jubilee Hotel, a Marriott affiliate. The building used to be a Swissotel, but it seems to have been rebranded as a Marriott hotel, and the interior hasn't changed much since its days as a Swissotel. Given its location, I suspect it was opened with Chinese tourists in mind, but the number of Chinese tourists is currently declining, so the hotel is not crowded, and the prices are reasonable (for a Marriott hotel, anyway). While Ratchada might not be a popular location for Japanese people, it's conveniently located near the subway station.
