La batalla que acabó con el Reino de Macedonia
The Battle of Pydna (168 BC) was a decisive engagement in the Third Macedonian War, where the Roman army, commanded by Lucius Aemilius Paullus, defeated the Macedonian forces of Perseus. Despite the tactical advantage of the Macedonian phalanx, the uneven terrain and flexibility of the Roman legions allowed Rome to break the cohesion of the enemy army. Perseus' defeat marked the end of the Kingdom of Macedonia as an independent power and consolidated Roman rule over Greece. Furthermore, the Roman victory demonstrated the tactical and strategic superiority of the legions over more rigid formations such as the phalanx. — Voiced and edited by: Denis Ztoupas (Forgotten Heroes) 💰 Support this project!
