In the spring time while fishing the pier there are many opportunities to sight-cast or sight-fish some pelagic pier fish. I throw lures such as diamond jigs, topwater lures, or large swimming plugs like a rapala X-rap with the hope of enticing one of these hard fighting pier fish.
