Why Sikhs walking on the Path of Aurangzeb ? Forget Ethical Standards of Sikhism 👽 What was Aurangzeb doing? He was using the name of Islam and religion for politics — ruling in the name of faith while forcefully converting non-Muslims into Muslims. Outwardly, he appeared religious — pretending to be a man of piety. He would make and sell caps, saying he earned his living through “religious work,” not from royal wealth. He would copy the Quran by hand, sell it, and claim, “I live off the earnings of my faith.” This was one face of Aurangzeb — to appear religious before the people. But the other face was far darker: under the mask of Islam, he was spreading tyranny, forcing non-Muslims to convert by saying, “Accept Islam or face punishment.” Sadly, even today, in different forms, that same mentality exists — where people are told that everyone in this country must follow one specific religion, and diversity has no place. Anyway... how have we started walking on Aurangzeb’s path? Let’s reflect. We wear religious attire, tie turbans, and carry the Kirpan, yet when we go against the teachings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji — by cheating, stealing, oppressing others, and committing wrongs — aren’t we walking the same path as Aurangzeb? He too wore the guise of faith while acting against it. When I cheat, steal, lie, deceive the community, betray the Panth, stab it in the back — who gets defamed? Not me, but the one whose identity I wear — the great Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The Guru who never hid his sons, who sacrificed his entire family — and we, his followers, bring him dishonor everywhere. Why have we left that Guru’s path and started following Aurangzeb’s? Why have we abandoned our Guru to wander around graves and tombs? Why do we bow before idols, when our Guru forbade it? Why do we believe in spells and superstitions? Why do we keep fasts like Karva Chauth? Why do we keep doing everything our Guru told us not to do?
