ドブロブニク1日目 / 東欧5カ国周遊!ユーゴスラビア圏への旅!ブルガリア、セルビア、ボスニア、クロアチア、ハンガリーを巡る
From Sarajevo to Dubrovnik. A bus journey across the border. A spectacular view of the Adriatic Sea awaited me. On May 1st, May Day, I traveled from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina to Dubrovnik, Croatia. The tram service was unusual from the morning; the lines I wanted to take, numbers 1 and 2, weren't running, and the information on Google Maps didn't match. After confirming with the driver, I boarded tram number 5, which was going near the bus terminal, and began my journey by trial and error. At the Sarajevo bus terminal, you pay a 2-mark station usage fee to enter the platform and receive a barcode. I was worried whether the bus I had booked online would actually show up, but I successfully met up at the designated platform 13. The bus had power outlets next to the seats, and the journey itself was relatively comfortable. When crossing the border into Croatia, I anticipated delays due to the recently introduced EES (Entry-Exit System), but the process was smooth, requiring only a passport presentation and a photo. I arrived at Dubrovnik's bus terminal about two hours later than scheduled, and from there, I took a €2.50 public bus (contactless credit card payment available) to the Pile Gate, the entrance to the Old Town. My accommodation was the City Wall Hostel, located in the Old Town. It was a dormitory room costing around 10,000 yen per night, but the attic room I was assigned offered a fantastic view of the city walls and the Adriatic Sea. Walking around the city, I noticed that many souvenir shops and supermarkets were closed due to Labor Day, but tourist-oriented restaurants were open. A hamburger on the main street cost around €18, which is tourist pricing, but considering current prices, it didn't seem excessively inflated. At a bar perched on a cliff, people were enjoying drinks while gazing at the sea from outside the railing, creating a unique and liberating atmosphere typical of Dubrovnik. The temperature was 17 degrees Celsius, and the sea breeze made it a little chilly, but the cityscape illuminated by moonlight at night was incredibly beautiful, making this stay a significant milestone in my journey south through the Balkan Peninsula. #Sarajevo #Dubrovnik #CroatiaTravel #BusTrip #BalkanPeninsula #OldTown #OverseasTravel #SoloTravel #MayDay #AdriaticSea --- Hello, this is kurakurakurarin!
