Church Island, Waterville, Kerry
Church Island is in Lough Curran, near Waterville, in Kerry. On the island can be found St Finán’s Cell, a large drystone clochán, and a 12th century Romanesque church. Around the church are various important carvings, including of someone playing a lyre - unique in Ireland - and some ornate stone slabs.
