Vidurnaktis - Bučinukas (1993) [Full album]

First officially released (but second to be recorded) album of Lithuanian pop/synth-pop project "Vidurnaktis". Released in 1993, this release was one of better selling releases of newly founded label M.E.G.A. Records from Kaunas city, and in general, among local pop releases of the era, this was one of better sounding efforts, having well done arrangements and good sound quality. Few songs from this album were included in first ever pop CD to be released in Lithuania, which was a representative release of famous music event "festival Pop Art" and it's organiser, competing label "Pop Centras". Pop project "Vidurnaktis" was fronted by vocalist Lina Andriejauskaitė, accompanied by changing male vocalists, one heard in this album is Juozas Juknevičius. Title of the album, "A Small Kiss", is taken from a line in second track, and accordingly, label's designer composed a rather gaudy cover with picture of some random couple kissing. From all "Vidurnaktis" releases, this one was most commercially successful, mainly due to "The Night Train" achieving considerable airplay and mainstream success. In later albums this song was re-recorded again to capitalise on it's success. Confusingly, in same year 1993, much more famous band "Rondo" also had a track titled same way on their album, but it was neither a successful song nor a successful album, and as such it was lesser remembered and never re-recorded again. 00:00 1.
