Running 17KM Across Shanghai: Discovering the City on Foot

Shanghai has always been a very special city for me. From the age of 18 to 26, I grew from a high school student to a university student and eventually into adulthood — all within these eight years in this city. It’s been almost ten years since I last returned, and this is Rebecca’s first time in Shanghai. So we decided to experience the city in a unique way — by running through it. We ran 17 kilometers together, exploring both the streets I once knew so well and Shanghai’s most iconic landmarks. Through this run, I could share the city’s charm with Rebecca while reliving my own memories and creating new ones along the way.
