Grab the bar slightly wider than shoulder width. Slowly lower the weight to your chest. Exhale as you raise the weight and inhale as the weight is lowered. Avoid arching your back. Flat Dumbbell Flyes Lie on a flat bench and grab two dumbbells. Your palms should be facing inward. From the starting position at the top, slowly lower the weights following a semi-circular motion until the dumbbells are out to your sides. Be sure to keep your elbows slightly bent to take pressure off them. Close Grip Bench Press While lying on a flat bench, grab the bar with a grip between 8-to-12 inches wide. Slowly lower the bar to your lower pecs and then back up to the starting position. Keep your elbows in and close to body. Control the weight in the downward motion, never relaxing the control. Incline Dumbbell Press Lie on an incline bench and grab two dumbbells.
