Witold Wojtkiewicz i James Ensor. Spacer po wystawie w Muzeum Narodowym w Warszawie: Czarny Karnawał

I'm inviting you to a meticulous tour of the "Black Carnival. Wojtkiewicz – Ensor" exhibition at the National Museum in Warsaw. ☝️☝️ I apologize for the flickering bars in the recording – unfortunately, my cell phone doesn't mitigate this issue ☝️☝️ and the thought that it would be better to show the video with this glitch prevails. I can see the works of two of my favorite painters from my student days for the first time in 25 years, in person, in such an incredible compilation. Here we have a brilliant juxtaposition of the work of Witold Wojtkiewicz and James Ensor – artists united by themes of masks, carnival, grotesque, irony, but also melancholy and anxiety. In their works, laughter mixes with sadness, and playfulness with a sense of danger. Enjoy! I hope you find the video helpful 🙂. #nationalmuseum #wojtkiewicz #ensor #blackcarnival #art #exhibition #painting #warsaw #arthistory #artexhibition #polishpainting
