Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows 2024

On the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, we remember and reflect on Mary's seven sorrows: Simeon's prophecy, the flight into Egypt, the loss of Jesus in the Temple, her encounter with Jesus on the way to Calvary, His crucifixion and death, the removal of His body from the cross, and His burial. Mary, under the title of Our Lady of Sorrows, is the patroness of the Holy Cross Sisters and holds special significance for the entire Holy Cross family. Blessed Basil Moreau, in choosing her as our primary patron, gave us a guide who uniquely exemplifies the spirituality and mission of proclaiming the Cross of Christ as our sole hope
