If You Do These 6 Things When You're Alone, Your Mind Is Rarer Than You Think | Carl Jung

An hour ago, maybe less, you were doing something you have never once mentioned to another person. Not because it is shameful. Because it never occurred to you that it could be described. Carl Jung spent his life studying minds that work this way — and he understood something about them that nobody in your life has ever said to you. Those behaviors are not symptoms. They are evidence. This video answers the question underneath all of it. What exactly is your mind doing when you are alone — and why does it refuse to do it in front of anyone? There are six behaviors. They are ordered in a specific way. The first two are the ones you would admit to if someone asked directly. The third has a name you have never heard, and once you hear it, you will not look at your evenings the same way again. The fifth is the one you have been hiding from yourself. But pay attention to the fourth — the fourth is not a sign of rarity. It is a warning. And it is almost certainly the one you do most. Stay until the sixth. The sixth is the one you are doing right now, this exact second, and you will not catch it until it is pointed at. In this video: → The conversation with no one in it — what you are actually doing when you talk to yourself, and why your best thinking has never been witnessed → The editing room — why your mind reopens finished conversations and what it is actually extracting → The unwitnessed mind — the reframe that changes everything about how you understand your solitude → The rehearsals — the sealed chamber most people carry and never admit to, and the specific cost it is billing you → The relief — the thing your body says before your thoughts can stop it, and the threshold it is hiding → The watcher — the rarest structure on this list, the one you are running right now, and the question it finally answers Thinkers featured: Carl Jung TIMESTAMPS: 00:00 — The thing you were doing an hour ago that you have never described to anyone. 02:18 — The conversation with no one in it 06:08 — The editing room 11:01 — The hours that disappear — the unwitnessed mind 16:57 — The rehearsals — and the warning 22:19 — The relief — and the threshold 28:17 — The watcher 33:57 — CLOSE References: Jung, C.
