GREAT WOLF LODGE CONNECTICUT

Just back from a 2 night stay. Feel free to ask questions. LOVED The wooden floors in the rooms, so much cleaner than carpet. That the room smells “new”. Story time at night, absolutely magical The lobby-it’s a nicer set up Ropes course with zip line Adventure course-it’s higher up Bowling-nice little little private set up The cool lighting over the activities The waterpark being all in the one area The merch/candy shop is bigger and has a better layout My 7yr old preferred the magiquest here! Plenty of seats in the waterpark DIDN’T love it seems like the rooms are less sound proof-footsteps over head, voices next door etc. I really cannot stress how noisy and we’re used to it being noisy at GWL but this was crazy. You could hear full conversations from next door Only one life guard watching the wave pool, even when it was busy at the wknd The mini golf feels more squashed The arcade is smaller-still has every thing but was something my kids noticed The Dunkin in the lobby…. prices are crazy- frozen coffee, hot choc etc was at least $2 more expensive and not as many options for breakfasts sandwiches. You can’t order breakfast on the app, only accepts orders after 12pm There isn’t much seating down by the ropes/mini golf etc and the seats that are they are very uncomfy The queue to check out. There was no fast check out so you had to queue with people who were checking in and out(took about 30mins) WE GOT A TEXT LATER to tell how to check out by phone! You just text the word “out”…..if you get the text in time *NOT MUCH ON TV. *NO microwaves Tips and FYI Definitely use Foxwoods parking, it’s a short walk and you can unload your things outside the lobby before you park Ask for cup stickers at Hungry as a Wolf Bring black tape or a bandaid to put over the blinking light in the room All of the staff that we spoke to were super nice and friendly! #greatwolflodge #conneticut #foxwoods
