Habib Luthfi bin Yahya was born in Pekalongan City, November 10, 1947; 70 years old. In addition to being a preacher, Habib Luthfi is also the chairman of the Central Java MUI. Current Habib Luthfi: Ra'is 'Amm from Jam'iyyah Ahli Tariqah Al-Mu'tabarah Al-Nahdliyah, Head of Central Java MUI, and spiritual leader of the Ba Alawi tarekat in Indonesia. Ba Alawi are descendants of the Prophet (SAW) who migrated to Hadramaut in Yemen early in Islamic history. They played a major role in bringing Islam to the Far East, including Indonesia and Malaysia, and they are very prominent to this day. Habib Luthfi preached in a tone of voice that was not fiery in the style of an orator with tensed veins, which sometimes had the potential to slip his tongue because of his "enthusiasm".
