Well shi! Did Glen, Pinchot, Mather and Muir pass and caught a helicopter ride and came home…again!

Well shoot ( I want to say another adjective), I had completed all 5 of the 11K ft plus passes in the Sierra and almost was to snowless covered trail, unfortunately I slid on a sharp Granite rock and post holed down in snow to cut my left knee cap badly. I had to hit the SOS button on my Garmin In-Reach! I was 35 miles from an exit evacuation spot so had to be transported by helicopter for 28 minutes from the High Sierra to the low country and Ambulance to the Visalia ER to get a lot of stitches. I get the stitches removed next Wednesday and will reassess how I feel and when/where I can re-enter my PCT journey. I felt strong and was hiking well, am super bummed but also glad it wasn't worse and happy to see the family....AGAIN! Thanks to my friend Casper, Cookie and Simon from the UK, the Kings Canyon Ranger, helicopter crew and medical staff for helping ne get out safe! It still feels surreal.
