📍 I visited the Danang Marriott Resort & Spa. This is a video review of my stay at the Danang Marriott Resort & Spa. I stayed at both the Danang Sheraton and the Marriott during this trip, and in this video, I directly compared the two hotels and shared my honest review. We received a purple welcome drink at check-in, and a souvenir doll gift for children. The Sheraton didn't offer any children's gifts, so the Marriott felt more appealing in this regard. The lobby gift shop was selling the same teddy bear. It was the exact same one we received, and it cost about 16,000 won. 🏨 Suite Review (Bonvoy Platinum Upgrade) We were upgraded to a suite with our Bonvoy Platinum benefits. The spacious living room was the first thing that caught my eye, and the bedroom had a king bed, making it spacious enough for a family of three. The bed was decorated with swan towels and fresh flowers. It was the first time I'd received a welcome flower service since our honeymoon, and I was really happy. Next to the bedroom is a terrace with an ocean view, and the vanity and dressing area were spacious, making it very convenient for organizing my luggage. The bathroom was very spacious, with two sinks, each convenient for individual use. I remember the Sheraton Suite having a relatively small bathroom, but the Marriott had a view of palm trees through the bathroom window, which was very satisfying. Welcome food included fruit, cake, and chocolate, and the pink-toned display was stylish. The living room also had another terrace, a table, and a kitchenette. The room had fresh Phalaenopsis orchids, which were incredibly fresh. Nespresso coffee capsules were provided, and the closet was stocked with a beach bag, slippers, and flip-flops. The amenities were also luxurious overall. Six complimentary bottles of water were provided, and there was a mini-fridge. The Danang Marriott is famous for its pool villas, but this suite was more reasonably priced than the pool villas, so I was personally more satisfied with the suite. 🏊‍♂️ Facilities & Kids Programs There are apparently five outdoor pools. The weather in Da Nang in December was a bit chilly, so we couldn't swim. It was the rainy season, so it rained intermittently. Keep that in mind when planning your trip. The children's playground and kids' club were well-equipped, and we even had lantern-making and marshmallow snowmen as part of the kids' program. 🍽️ Breakfast Review (Very Satisfied!) Breakfast was crowded and lively, and since it was open until 11 a.m., it was perfect for a leisurely meal after a late night. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options, including some unfamiliar options like Indian food, which was fun to browse. There were seven different ice cream flavors, more than at the Sheraton. The iced Americano was a bit bland, not something Koreans would enjoy, but the condensed milk coffee, salt coffee, and lattes were excellent. The personal service, which even included latte art, was impressive. The next day's breakfast was great, with a menu that mostly matched the previous day's. Unusual items like how to eat hummus, free eggs Benedict, and raisin-flavored ice cream were also impressive. The buffet was well-stocked, with food always available until closing time. After my meal, I went to the restroom and saw hand towels neatly arranged, giving me the impression that the place was well-maintained. 🧖‍♀️ Spa & Complimentary Classes The QUAN SPA sauna, along with its private beach, is free for guests. The facilities are excellent, and swimsuits are required. Marriott has a great free class program. I took the cocktail and coffee classes, and both were incredibly satisfying. It was a great experience to try my hand at making cocktails and enjoying coffee in a high-end restaurant. The cocktail class was held at Madame Son, and the coffee class was held at Writer's Bar, both of which were very popular. 🍹 Drink Coupon & Overall Review I used the drink coupon I received at check-in at the beachfront bar. While the Sheraton was limited to a specific time, the Marriott allowed me to use it freely, with no time restrictions, which was much more convenient. My staycation at the Da Nang Marriott was so much fun that I never got bored. The overall service, facilities, breakfast, and programs were all significantly more satisfying than the Sheraton.
