Timing a Serger: The Whole Process
I time a serger without specs using some basic tools and some questionable theory. I AM NOT AN EXPERT so proceed with caution if you decide to follow my lead. Would be grateful for techs telling me what I did wrong and what I got right, but pretty confused that there are no full videos of the process on YouTube so far. UPDATE: When setting the lower looper height, not only must one take care that the lower looper DOES NOT touch the bottom of the feed dogs, but ALSO, that it DOES NOT touch the stitch finger when it is out. I made this mistake today and after adjusting the lower looper height to be correct, had to redo the lower looper and upper looper timing as a result. Cheers.
