I couldn’t figure it out… So I took a risk | ASMR-ish oil painting

I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the colors. What belongs where, and how it all relates. I didn't plan for red but OMG it's totally working and I love where this painting is headed now. I still have some areas to figure out, namely the areas surrounding the leaf. But I feel like I passed a turning point here and I'm headed toward a painting I'm going to love.
