Mooneyes Xmas Party 2017 - Drive-Ins & Highlights

The one show that I've never missed going to since I started going to shows is Mooneyes Xmas Party, and I hope to keep it that way! This was officially the last Mooneyes Xmas Party at Irwindale Speedway, and I was very glad to have been there to see the final show. Over 1,300 cars were reportedly registered to be there, and the lines to get in were crazy once again! Cars were pulling in hours after the gate opened at 6AM. I hope the Mooneyes tradition keeps going strong at another location in the following years. Merry Christmas! UPDATE 12-30-2017: Irwindale Speedway has been saved...again! Former late model racer and track champion Jim Huddleston has purchased the speedway, and is said to keep the speedway open for about another 2 years.
