Rare Prayer That Reveals Krishna's Supreme Form | Vasudeva Krita Shri Krishna Stotram
Shri Krishna Stotram by Vasudeva (श्रीकृष्णस्तोत्रं वसुदेवकृतम्) is a rare and profound Sanskrit hymn composed by Vasudeva, the father of Lord Shri Krishna. In this beautiful stotram, Vasudeva glorifies Lord Krishna as Parabrahman—the Supreme Reality beyond the senses, beyond material nature, eternal, all-pervading, and the indwelling Paramatma in every living being. The hymn beautifully declares that even Lord Brahma, Lord Shiva, Goddess Saraswati, Lord Ganesha, Ananta Shesha, Kartikeya, the Vedas, and the greatest sages cannot fully describe the infinite glory of Shri Krishna. It is one of the finest philosophical hymns praising Krishna as both the personal God worshipped by devotees and the formless Supreme Absolute. According to the Phala Shruti, one who recites this stotram during the three Sandhyas (morning, noon, and evening) is traditionally believed to receive unwavering devotion to Lord Krishna, freedom from obstacles, protection from enemies, virtuous children, inner peace, and the blessings of the Lord's eternal service. Traditionally Believed Benefits Deep Krishna Bhakti Divine protection and blessings Inner peace and spiritual wisdom Freedom from fear and obstacles Success in righteous endeavors Blessings of virtuous children Constant remembrance of Lord Krishna Progress toward Moksha Perfect For Daily Krishna Puja Janmashtami Ekadashi Morning Prayer Evening Prayer Bhagavad Gita Study Vishnu Worship Sanskrit Stotra Chanting Meditation Krishna Bhajans If you enjoy Krishna Bhajans, Hare Krishna Mahamantra, Vishnu Sahasranama, Krishna Ashtakam, Madhurashtakam, Govinda Damodara Stotram, Narayana Kavach, Bhagavad Gita, Radha Krishna Bhajans, Vishnu Stotram, and Sanskrit Devotional Hymns, this sacred stotram is a wonderful addition to your daily spiritual practice. Jai Shri Krishna Radhe Radhe Complete English Translation Verse 1 I bow to You, who are beyond the reach of the senses, unmanifest, imperishable, beyond all material qualities, all-pervading, attainable only through meditation, the Supreme Self, and the Supreme Lord. Verse 2 You manifest entirely through Your own divine will. You assume every form according to Your own wish. Untouched by worldly attachment, You are the Supreme Brahman, the eternal seed and the everlasting source of all creation. Verse 3 You are greater than the greatest, yet subtler than the subtlest, invisible to ordinary perception. You dwell within every living being as the unseen witness, silently observing all. Verse 4 Though You appear with a divine form for the sake of devotees, You are truly beyond all bodily limitation. You possess every divine attribute, are both Prakriti and the Lord of Prakriti, present within creation, yet forever transcending it. Verse 5 You are the Lord of all, the embodiment of every form, the one into whom everything ultimately dissolves, imperishable, the support of the entire universe, while Yourself depending upon nothing. How can I ever adequately praise such an Infinite Lord? Verse 6 Even Ananta Shesha is unable to fully glorify You. Even Goddess Saraswati cannot completely describe Your greatness. Likewise, the five-faced Lord Shiva and the six-faced Lord Kartikeya cannot fully extol Your glory. Verse 7 Even Lord Brahma, the four-faced creator of the Vedas, cannot completely praise You. Nor is Lord Ganesha, the Lord of Wisdom, or even the Guru of the greatest Yogis, capable of describing Your limitless majesty. Verse 8 The great sages, the gods, the foremost ascetics, and human beings cannot truly perceive Your infinite nature, not even in dreams. How then can anyone fully praise You? Verse 9 Even the sacred Vedas are unable to completely glorify You. What then can learned scholars accomplish? Therefore, please set aside Your immeasurable majesty and lovingly appear before us in Your enchanting child form. Verse 10 (Phala Shruti) Whoever recites this hymn composed by Vasudeva during the three Sandhyas— morning, noon, and evening— obtains unwavering devotion and the privilege of becoming a humble servant at the lotus feet of Lord Shri Krishna. Verse 11 (Phala Shruti) Such a devotee is blessed with a noble, virtuous child devoted to Lord Hari, quickly overcomes every difficulty, and becomes free from the fear of enemies. #JaiShriKrishna #KrishnaStotram #HareKrishna #RadheRadhe #KrishnaBhakti
