Bôa - Welcome (Acton Live)
Another one I made sure wasn't on youtube before uploading. "Welcome" saw release both in Bôa's first album, The Race of a Thousand Camels, and the re-release Twilight. Paul Turrell's keys and strings really pushing the song alongside Jasmine's wonderful vocals. The funky guitar riff and great bass and percussion providing the backing for a lovely track. The Acton Live version is virtually identical, noticeable however are different inflections and lyrics with Jasmine's vocals. It's hard to tell which version I prefer, the vocals are more prominent and raw in this version, but the soundscape is more refined in the official versions. Bôa was an alternative rock band, and at the time this photo was taken, made up of siblings Steve and Jasmine Rodgers, Ben Henderson, Lee Sullivan, and Alex Caird, but during Acton Live had keyboardist Paul Turrell and drummer Ed Herten.
