MOLCAXAC, PUEBLA The municipality of Molcaxac offers a stunning natural landscape and is ideal for ecotourism and adventure activities. Molvaxac, which in Nahuatl means "The Nest of the Sparrows," is located in the Mixteca region of Puebla, in the south-central part of the state of Puebla, and belongs to the Atoyac River basin. Its ecosystem, a combination of tropical deciduous forest with shrubs and the Atoyac River basin, offers beautiful natural landscapes and numerous waterfalls of varying sizes. Among the most impressive waterfalls you can see are: Horsetail Waterfall, with a height of 50 meters, is the last waterfall on this slope before flowing into the Atoyac River. You can observe curious rock formations and view it from different vantage points. The "Little Fish Waterfall" is smaller in scale, but its pool can reach depths of approximately 15 meters, making it suitable for swimming. To reach these places, you must cross the entire municipality and take the turnoff towards Huatlatlauca. From there, you will see the appropriate signs to guide you. In this same area, you'll find "God's Bridge," an impressive cavern through which the Atoyac River flows. Boat tours are available to explore and enjoy the scenery.
