Salmon on a Dry Fly-Upsalquitch:2024

Dry Fly raises and take of a nice sized Atlantic Salmon followed by live release. Mike Nowlan is on a Crown Reserve stretch of the Upper NW Upsalquitch. A heat wave is upon us and the Dept. of Fisheries and Oceans has advised of restrictions regarding angling of salmon across New Brunswick. As such, we are restricted in fishing for the morning hours only. There are salmon in the middle and lower 9 mile pools. Water temp is 62-64C with air temp in the afternoon a balmy "feels like 36C". The fishing is spotty with very little interest from the salmon on the 1st morning...However, the 2nd morning provided some exciting interactions! Video shot on a GoPro8 camera.
